DID YOU KNOW...

The average unaltered female cat can have 12 kittens in a year. For female dogs the average is 8 puppies per year. From March 1, 2008–February 28, 2009 Coalition: HUMAnE spayed 1558 female cats and 816 female dogs. Potential reduction in Puget Sound animal population—over 18,500 cats and 6,500 dogs in our first year!

Our Spay/Neuter Statistics:
In May, 2009, Coalition: HUMAnE conducted its 5,000th spay/neuter surgery. At the end of December, 2009 our client count included:

  • 4970 cats, including 659 feral cats
  • 3186 dogs, including 565 pit bulls and pit bull mixes
